This cycle route is ideal for discovering the emblematic places and unmissable monuments of the capital.

1/ It starts on the Place de l'Alma which offers a very beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower . Don't miss the Flame of Liberty , a life-size reproduction of the torch held by the Statue of Liberty in New York City, which has become a tribute to Lady Diana since her accident under the bridge in 1997.

2/ Take one of these beautiful and large Parisian avenues: Avenue George V, which has elegant private mansions, most of which now house embassies. This road takes you to the Champs-Élysées , where the famous Fouquet's restaurant is located on the corner.

3/ Walk down the most beautiful avenue in the world, with the Arc de Triomphe in the back, as far as avenue Winston Churchill which you take: on your right theGrand Palais , on your left the Petit Palais , two museums not to be missed miss. Here you are again on the quays of the Seine opposite the superb Alexandre III bridge , undoubtedly one of the most beautiful bridges in Paris.

4/ Take this bridge and turn left, to find yourself as close as possible to the Seine: you arrive at the Rives de Seine park , a relaxation area reserved for pedestrians and cyclists, where it is good to walk on sunny days!

5/ Arrived at the foot of the Concorde bridge, go back to the quays and cross the river to take a tour of the Place de la Concorde which is worth the detour. Return to the docks and resume your journey. On your left: the Jardin des Tuileries , on your right, on the other side of the Seine: the Musée d'Orsay in the former Gare d'Orsay. After a few turns of the pedals, you will see the Louvre Museum on your left.

6/ Continue along the quays, past the Pont des Arts and cross the Seine on the Pont Neuf to reach the Île de la Cité . Walk along the island via the Quai des Orfèvres to Notre-Dame Cathedral .

7/ Then take rue d'Arcole to cross the Seine again on the Pont d'Arcole and continue straight: you are now in front of the magnificent Paris City Hall where this 6.5 km walk ends.

By crossing the Seine again via rue de la Cité, you can take the same route in the other direction and reach the Pont de l'Alma along the other bank of the Seine.
